Did you know that Scottish Country
Dancing is uniquely placed to deliver a
range of health benefits? Various academic
studies confirm evidence that Scottish
Country Dancing is an effective recreational
exercise for particular types of fitness, with
extensive measurable benefits for older
people.
As a member you can attend an RSCDS
event anywhere; in a beautiful rural Castle,
a historic town or a cosmopolitan city on
any continent globally (except Antarctica!)
- members often travel to other branches
to attend events.
Over the course of a year the RSCDS holds
three main events: Winter School (Feb) in
Pitlochry, Scotland; Spring Fling (April) in
locations changing between UK and Europe;
Summer School (late July/early Aug) in St.
Andrews, Scotland. We also have our
popular Conference Weekend in Perth
(Nov) which attracts members from across
the globe. Or, if you simply want to dance
locally; sign up for classes or attend a
Branch event near to you. Become a
member through a branch (local branch,
international branch or youth branch) or
through HQ - see over to find out how.
